A grande richiesta, le indicazioni su due dischi che mi piacciono: il primo è Monk's music (1957). É l'unico album registrato in studio in cui Thelonious Monk e John Coltrane suonano insieme; l'idea geniale di Monk è di mettere insieme tre sassofonisti (Gigi Gryce, Coleman Hawkins e, appunto, Coltrane) che rappresentano il passato, il presente e il futuro del jazz.
Il secondo disco (grazie a Nicola!) è Unplugged + More di David Byrne (1994).
Nell'album c'è anche una cover di un brano di Prince, scritto per la colonna sonora del film Batman (quello bello, il primo della serie, diretto da Terry Gilliam). Sono andato a cercare il testo della canzone e devo dire: niente male, Mr. Prince. Si chiama "The future" e lo incollo qui sotto.
PS: Qualcuno sa chi diavolo è Yellow Smiley, quello che offre X? Uno spacciatore cinese? Attendo chiarimenti dagli esperti...
